Vigil planned to remember school shooting victims

ABINGDON, Va. -

A candlelight vigil will be held Tuesday night in Abingdon in remembrance of those killed during last week's school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.

It will be at Virginia Highlands Community College at 6:00pm at the Campus Commons.

Collection boxes will be available for those interested in donating stuffed animals, which will be given to local emergency personnel, to help children in crisis situations.
