A crash on Highway 394 claimed another life-- the second in just a week on that road.
Bristol, Tennessee Police have identified the person who died that crash which happened at the Food City Monday.
Police say that accident happened around 2:06 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. They say 88-year-old George W. Wood was driving a Buick Lacrosse out of the Food City shopping center, when he crossed the road into the path of a Ford pickup truck. Police say Wood, along with his wife and daughter were taken to the hospital.
George Wood died from his injuries, while his wife, Trula Wood, is in serious condition and his daughter, Judy Wood, is expected to be okay.
Neither of the two people in the truck had life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol drugs and speed are not considered factors in the crash, but that investigation is ongoing.
