BRISTOL, Tenn. -

The United Way of Bristol was celebrating today as they ended their campaign for the 2012-2013 year.

When the United Way campaign began, they had a goal of $1.4 million.

We learned as of today they are $18,000 under their $1.4 million goal.

Bristol United Way Executive Director, Lisa Cofer says they are happy with the progress but will continue to collect donations.

Cofer tells News 5 the more money they can get the better. "Even when we meet that $1.4 million goal, it will just go a small distance helping the growing needs of our community," said Cofer.

The United Way of Bristol currently assists 27 agencies.
