Detectives from the Kingsport Police Department tell us they were called to investigate after two people were seen buying ingredients to make meth.

The detectives located the suspects on foot at the intersection of Rose and Globe Streets. After being confronted by police, they tell us Travis Harvey and Amber Anderson tried to hide the bags they were carrying.

Police recognized the items in the bag as precursors to make meth.

That's when police tell us they arrested Harvey and Anderson. They are both being held in the Kingsport city jail.
