The scene was one of chaos this morning for Trilla Childress and her husband.
Lightning struck a tree and caused it to come crashing down into their bedroom.
The roof of the home collapsed as Mr. Childress was sleeping in bed.
The Childress' tell us that their phone lines were knocked out, and that the fire department asked them to get out of the home for their safety.
Mrs. Childress described the events; "Well the storm came, and it was raining, and lightning. We heard a big hit on our mobile roof, and it woke me up. My husband and my little dog were in the bedroom, and I was screaming for them to come through."
