An investigation is now underway in Bristol, Virginia.
Police say at least one shot was fired at a moving train.
Police tell us it happened Wednesday around 4:30 in the afternoon.
We're told as the train left the Bristol rail yard bound for Roanoke, the crew in the train's cab noticed a man near trees close to an auto auction business.
The crew says the man pointed a rifle at the train, the crew ducked, and that's when they say the left-side window of the train was shattered.
We're told the train moved on and no one was hurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
