Tennessee officials warn about fire dangers with dry weather
There are burn restrictions Thursday in several Tennessee counties.
According to the Tennessee Department of Agriculture-Forestry Division, fire danger conditions are getting worse because of the dry weather.
No burn permits were issued Thursday in Carter, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties, among others.
By state law, people doing outdoor burning from October 15th through May 15th are required to obtain a free burn permit by calling their area forestry office or by going online to burnsafetn.org.
