A Southwest Virginia woman scores a big win!
Amy Payne, of Appalachia, scratched a $250,000 winning lottery ticket. She told Virginia Lottery officials she and her husband stopped in the middle of the road when she realized she'd won. "I nearly had a heart attack," says Payne.
Her husband bought the winning ticket at Scotchman, located at 636 West Main Street in Appalachia.
Amy Payne says they don't have any immediate plans for their winnings.
