We have been getting calls from the public letting us know that senior citizens in our region have not received their latest Social Security checks.

A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service confirmed there have been some checks that have not shown up from the Social Security Administration, but did not have an exact number of how many had been missed.

Our calls to the Social Security Administration were quickly returned and they will reissue checks that have been misplaced if the recipient calls and makes them aware of the mistake.
