Smyth County fire victim dies

A woman severely injured in a house fire last week died from those injuries.
The fire happened last Thursday in Smyth County, Virginia.
Adwolfe firefighters say they found 46-year-old Geneva Ann Holman Pierce in the bathtub in her home on Tipton Lane.
According to her obituary posted on Bradley's Funeral Home's website, Pierce died Monday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. That's where rescuers flew her the morning of the fire.
Pierce's funeral will be Thursday.
