U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander has announced he's running for re-election.
Alexander is seeking his third, six-year term in the United States senate.
His campaign chair will be Congressman John Duncan, Jr.
There are several honorary co-chairs including Governor Bill Haslam, Senator Bob Corker, Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and Congressman Phil Roe.
In the next congress, Senator Alexander will be the Senior Republican on committees concerning education, health, and energy.
