Presidential wreath event Saturday
An annual tradition returns Saturday in Greeneville. It honors the 17th president of the United States.
The 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the Tennessee National Guard will host the presidential wreath-laying to mark the 204th birthday of President Andrew Johnson.
The ceremony is planned for 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery on Monument Avenue in Greeneville.
It is custom to place a wreath at the grave of each deceased president.
