Police are asking for citizen's help to find an armed robbery suspect.
The Abingdon Police Department said a man robbed the Subway on West Main Street around 8:20 p.m. on Monday.
According to witnesses, the suspect was wearing an orange ski mask and had a gun.
Once inside the store, police said the suspect demanded cash from the clerk. "He had cash in the left hand and a gun in the right. He looked pretty scared," said Richard Macbeth, a witness.
Police said the suspects vehicle appears to be a two-door red sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra, with a Virginia license plate containing the letters WUV or WUZ.
