Police accuse man of breaking into cars

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

Reports of a motor vehicle burglary led police to arrest a Johnson City man.

Johnson City police say Christopher Forbes was seen breaking into a vehicle and wearing a black back pack.

They tell us the victim that saw Forbes chased him through his backyard. A K-9 tracked Forbes to his front door at Mel Circle.

Police say they searched his apartment and found the back pack. They say they found about $100 in loose change inside.

Forbes was taken to the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center. He's scheduled to appear in court today.
