SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. -

Police are looking for a man they believe is involved in multiple storage unit thefts.

Sullivan County Sheriff's Department officials told News 5 arrest warrants are out for Brandon Gillenwater and Sherry Jones Gillenwater, both of Kingsport.

Officers told us, they believe the suspects broke into storage units off Highway 75 in Blountville late last month and stole the locks off of nine of the units; damaging several of the doors.

According to the press release, Sherry Gillenwater is being held in the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center, but deputies are still trying to locate Brandon Gillenwater.

Public information officer Leslie Earhart told News 5, both suspects may be involved in a ring of thefts. "Detective Justin Ramsey investigated the case, and while he was conducting the investigation, he talked with detectives from the Kingsport Police Department and also Washington County, Tennessee and learned that the Gillenwater’s are suspects in several burglaries of storage building there as well," Earhart explained.

Brandon and Sherry Gillenwater are charged with burglary, vandalism, and theft.
