No charges filed in Greene County fatal bus crash case

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and Greene County District Attorney’s Office reports no charges will be filed against 62-year-old Ronnie Whitson in connection with the April 12 fatal bus crash and the case is closed.

That accident killed 12-year-old Austin Baughard, a Chuckey-Doak Middle School Student. THP said he was run over while approaching the school bus that had just picked up his sister on Holder Road.

THP said in its investigation that Baughard was suspended from riding the school bus when the accident occurred.
