New trial granted in bait shop murder case
A man granted a new trial for murder charges was appointed a lawyer on Thursday.
Steven James Rollins was convicted of murder and other charges in 2003. Authorities say he stabbed John Bussel to death in a bait shop in Colonial Heights in 2001.
After the conviction, the court decided Rollins was denied a fair and impartial jury as well as an effective council. Click here to read more about the overturning of that conviction.
Rollins will be back in court on June 17, 2013.
