19 people became U.S. citizens Friday at a ceremony in Abingdon, Virginia. For a woman from China, now living in Wise County, Virginia, taking the oath of citizenship almost didn't happen because of car troubles.

The recovery continues for two east Tennessee women who were shot when police say a man opened fire in a pharmacy.
