It was a night that Bristol will not soon forget and one we will see the effects of for quite some time.
Officials from Bristol, Virginia gathered today to discuss the economic impact of the Mumford & Sons concert in August.
An estimated 17,500 people showed up to the event, spending nearly $2.2 million at the concert alone.
We also learned it was a community effort that helped make the success of the concert possible. "We're here not to take over the town but to build it up and to show how amazing this place is and that was a huge thing they wanted to promote and we took it and the community really stood behind it," said Jeff Cuellar, Director of Connectivity for AC Entertainment.
We are also told the city hopes to bring more events like this one to Bristol.
