A Honaker, Virginia man is recovering in the hospital after he crashed his motorcycle in Russell County.
Virginia State Police tell us it happened just after three o'clock Tuesday afternoon on Route 80.
Police say a car stopped in front of the motorcycle, but the motorcycle was driving too fast to stop.
The motorcycle flipped at least three times and slid more than 100 feet before throwing the rider.
Police say the man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say he was wearing a helmet.
Charges are pending in this case.
