Mining jobs to be lost with mine idling

Operations will be stopped at a Cumberland River mine in Letcher County, Kentucky.
We've learned the idling of the Blue Ridge surface mine would affect 45 miners.
The company says it made the decision after exhausting all other cost-cutting measures.
It cites difficult and persisting thermal coal market conditions. There is no word on when that mine will close.
