Melting snow opens business
Many businesses were happy to see the snow disappear so they could re-open their doors to the public.
They were affected when the snow hit in Southwest Virginia, closing many down early.
We spoke to a few places who said they were shutting down to ensure their workers got home safely; others were because no business was coming in.
Giovanni Romano, owner of Romano's Italian Restaurant said he lost money from shutting down at 7 p.m., but was hoping to re-open today. "Days like this we have to hope employees come into work. We've already had a couple of phone calls this morning, couple of people aren't showing up," said Romano.
Romano’s, like many other business owners spent the morning shoveling the snow to get their place ready for hopeful customers.
