A man learned his fate Wednesday after entering a guilty plea to vandalizing a local school back in January.
Church Hill police say James McFarland entered guilty pleas Wednesday to aggravated criminal trespassing, theft under $500 and vandalism.
We've learned he's been ordered to serve 90 days in jail and pay $300 in fines in addition to $500 in restitution to Carters Valley School. He's also sentenced to serving community service and serve two years of supervised probation.
Hawkins County authorities say McFarland burglarized the school on the night of January 23, taking $250 from the school safe.
