Man faces statutory rape charges after arrest in Johnson City — Abimael Hernandez

A man is facing statutory rape charges after police say he admitted to having sex with an underage female.

Johnson City Police tell us Abimael Lopez-Hernandez was arrested yesterday and that during questioning, admitted to having sex with the girl on two separate occasions.

He now faces statutory rape charges and is in the Washington County Detention Center under a ten thousand dollar bond.

He is scheduled to be in court this morning.
