Kingsport police officers told us the driver of the Grand Marquis, 86-year-old Bedwin Steely of Hot Springs, Arkansas died shortly after being taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center.

"Right now, preliminarily in the investigation it looks like the Grand Marquis failed to yield to the Honda Pilot that was traveling on this lane," said Dustin Jackson with the Kingsport Police Department.

Police said everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol was not a factor in this crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
