A Johnson City man is in jail after police say he lied to a local hospital to get drugs.
Matthew Kent was arrested Tuesday night after Johnson City Medical Center called police and told them he lied to them. Johnson City police say after an investigation, they believe he gave doctors the wrong information in an effort to get prescription pain pills.
Police also found out Kent was being treated by different physicians. He's in the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center is and is charged with obtaining narcotics by fraud.
He is scheduled to be in court Wednesday.
