Costumes have long been a part of movie premieres and many people said they thought that is what was happening Friday night inside the movie theater in Colorado.
But now many are wondering if that will change. News 5 caught up with some comic enthusiasts who say they enjoy dressing as their favorite characters.
One question News 5 has is how is this deadly shooting going to change things for those who enjoy costumes? "People will probably be worried, but they're always worried when someone is in costume. Because they don't know who it is, they don't know what the person is like behind the costume or character. It's a very thin line to walk on," said Derek Smith Peters, dressed as the Joker from the Batman series.
"I think added security would be a good thing. Because some people can be crazy, most of us just do it for fun. But especially if you have some sort of costume that's got any kind of weapons or anything," added Rob Metcalfe, dressed as Spiderman.
