Kingsport leaders continue to mull over the future of the Legion pool site.
City officials told us the pool will not re-open, but it's unclear right now as to what will happen to the property.
Right now, leaders are looking into demolition at a possible cost of $90,000 to $100,000.
Kingsport's assistant to the city manager, Chris McCartt, told us the Board of Education is also eying the land for Dobyns-Bennett High School, but there's also the possibility it could serve a dual purpose.
One of the question they are asking; "is there a potential that the city along with Dobyns Bennett could have a shared use of a green space that could be a nice park space, but at the same time provide Dobyns Bennett with some type of some much needed green space for campus?" said McCartt.
Officials believe decisions could be made in the next two to three months as city leaders work through budget details.
