Kingsport police are looking for a man they say robbed the Check Cash Express on Fort Henry Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the man entered the store just before 2 p.m. and demanded cash.
The clerk told police the man had a handgun.
He is described as a white male between 5'1"0 and 6' tall with a medium build. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans with sunglasses.
Authorities say the man may be driving a green two-door convertible.
