Judge James Taylor sentenced

Former Hawkins County judge James Taylor has been sentenced in Davidson County.
Taylor received a thirteen year sentence, but three years of that is to be served with 30 percent parole eligibility. Taylor pleaded guilty to stealing from the administrative office of the court.
He was indicted on 41 counts of theft.
Authorities tell us he created forged documents to support false ruling billing for legal work he did not perform.
Taylor has reached an agreement in a case against him in Hawkins County. The details on that agreement will be announce on October 12.
