Johnson City Power Board impostor charged with burglary
POSTED: 5:51 PM Dec 07 2012
The Johnson City Power Board is alerting customers about a person claiming to be an employee who is now accused of robbing a home.
Power board officials have a few tips to keep you safe from company impersonators. We're told all employees clearly display JCPB logos on their vehicles and carry an official photo ID at all times.
Contractors hired to complete work on the company's behalf must show ID when requested and use magnetic decals to mark their vehicles.
If you are skeptical of someone claiming to represent the JCPB, you're encouraged to call the power board at (423) 282-5272 to confirm their identity.
