A hearing will be held Monday to show proposed changes to two sections of the Coalfields Expressway.
The Expressway is a proposed four-lane limited access highway stretching from Wise County through Dickenson and Buchanan Counties all the way to the West Virginia State line.
The proposed changes are to two sections of the Coalfields Expressway; Section I, located from existing Route 23 to Route 83 east of Pound in Wise County, and Section II, located from Section I to the proposed Route 460 Connector - Phase II in Buchanan County.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will host a public hearing Monday night at Central High School in Wise County and Tuesday at Russell Prater Elementary School in Vansant. Both hearings will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Maps, drawings and other materials, as well as VDOT experts, will be available.
