BRISTOL, Tenn. -

There's a benefit concert going on in Bristol, Tennessee Saturday evening to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

It's at the VFW on West State Street. Everything from the venue to the food has been donated.

A collaboration of musicians and businesses in the area helped make it possible. They are hoping to raise around $1,500 Saturday night.

Organizer Tom Swadley tells us, this is especially important to him because he personally knows people who have been affected. "Some of the friends in my band were affected, they lost power for about a week and a half and I know after people that are going to be performing here today had family affected up there in New Jersey, New York area," says Swadley.

It's a ten dollar donation to get in the door.
