State troopers are getting ready for New Year's Eve.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says it will strictly enforce drunk driving laws using the state's no refusal program this holiday.
Under the new law, officers can get search warrants for blood samples. The goal is to reduce the number of deaths on Tennessee roadways during the holiday.
During last year's New Year's holiday, five people were killed.
Three of those fatalities were alcohol-related crashes.
