Kentucky State Police say a gunman is dead and six others wounded after the suspect opened fire on a vehicle in Hazard, Kentucky.

Police say that gunman continued fire when authorities arrived. Two deputies were injured in the incident that began around 8 p.m. Sunday night. Others in a vehicle were injured. Everyone is expected to recover.

Troopers ended up shooting the gunman. Investigators were still on the scene early Monday morning.

There is currently no word on a motive for the shooting.
