Greeneville to increase school security

A local school system is increasing security after the December 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Greeneville City Schools have announced when students return to school on January 7 there will more police presence in the schools.
Tthe school system tells us they already have two school officers at the high school and one officer that rotates between the middle school and four elementary schools.
Administrators say they want to reinforce security and comfort both students and parents.
The discussion of school safety will also be addressed at the January 15 meeting of the Greeneville board of mayor and aldermen.
