Kingsport's future Heritage Point development could soon see more progress.
Kingsport City Manager John Campbell told us the developer picked up a $15.5 million permit from the city to start grading the site that sits at the intersection of interstates 81 and 26.
Campbell said this progress will likely help spawn interest from potential tenants. "Once grading starts, I think people will see the potential. [It's] certainly the most visible and certainly the most traffic counts and the best located in terms of distance for everybody in the region," Campbell said.
The Fordtown Road relocation near the site is also just months away from completion. That is expected to be finished by July.
