Gov. Haslam expected to finish budget hearings within the week

Governor Bill Haslam is expected to finish his work with the budget hearings sometime within the week.
These are the hearings for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
Although state revenues have been improving, Haslam has already asked state department to prepare for a five percent spending cut to fall back on.
Tuesday will mark the last day of the hearings and several state agencies are scheduled to meet including, TennCare, The Department of Correction and Higher Education.
Proceedings for the hearing which began last week can be kept up with at tn.gov.
