Girls Inc. wins special award

BRISTOL, Tenn. -

Girls Inc. of Bristol got a special recognition December 13 -- the organization received the Southeast Affiliate of the Year award.
Girls Inc. is a non-profit agency in Bristol, Virginia. The group got high marks for having a high-functioning board and staff, continuous advocacy efforts on behalf of girls and outstanding programming.

Girls Inc. of Bristol competed in the small budget category for the award. That is for agencies with budgets less than $400,000.
