A former Washington County, Tennessee teacher was on trial Wednesday, accused of sexually abusing a student.
Estel Kiser was a plumbing teacher at Daniel Boone High School. He was arrested last year on charges of sexual battery by an authority figure.
The charges stem from an investigation into allegations of inappropriate contact with a student.
Court staff said a verdict could be reached in the case the same day.
Kiser has since retired from Daniel Boone High School.
