The former police chief of Pennington Gap, Virginia pleaded guilty to felony charges in U.S. District Court in Abingdon.
William Bryan Young of Duffield pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute Oxycodone and one count of burglary of a pharmacy.
Federal authorities had charged Young for his involvement in the distribution of pain killers and the burglary of the Rite-Aid pharmacy in Pennington Gap on September 28. Click here to read that story.
Young’s co-defendants, Kevin Andrew Young and Chris Miles, both of Duffield, also entered guilty pleas to one count of burglary of a pharmacy.
William Young faces a potential maximum sentence of up to 40 years in prison and a potential fine of up to $1,250,000.
Kevin Young and Chris Miles faces a possible sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
