The former Sullivan Central Athletic Director and baseball coach, Brandon Krantz, entered a plea to statutory rape Thursday morning in a Sullivan County courtroom.
Prosecutors say Krantz was having a relationship with a 17-year-old Sullivan Central student. They say they met to have sex twice, in January and July of 2012, at his home in Kingsport.
Prosecutors also pointed out Krantz was married at the time and has two small children.
Krantz pleaded no contest to two counts of aggravated statutory rape.
He's scheduled to be sentenced January 3rd. Krantz asked for judicial diversion, which means, if granted, the charges will be erased from his record after he serves the sentence given to him by a judge.
