Kingsport is now getting an idea of how much you'll pay to use their new aquatic center when it opens this spring.
After looking at other similar facilities' rates from across the Southeast, Kingsport's Aquatic Advisory Board is recommending their base rates for the aquatic center.
"We will work with the new aquatic center director as well as continue to work with the Aquatic Advisory Board over the coming weeks and months ahead to finalize these fees as well as other fees associated with the facility," said Chris McCartt, assistant to the Kingsport's city manager.
The aquatic center is expected to open in mid-May of 2013.
Here's a breakdown of the recommendation:
Daily Fees:
Adult (22 and older) - $8
Youth (3 to 21) - $6
Children 2 and under - Free
Family - $30
Senior - $6
Three Month Seasonal Pass:
Adult (22 and older) - $125
Youth (3 to 21) - $75
Senior - $75
Family - $200
Annual Membership:
Adult (22 and older) - $325, monthly rate $27
Youth (3 to 21) - $230, monthly rate $19
Senior - $230, monthly rate $19
Family - $475, monthly rate $39
