Famers' Market giving back to the community for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner and the Kingsport Farmers' Market is looking to give back to the community during this holiday season.
We learned they will be providing a meal on Thanksgiving Day at 11 a.m. inside of the farmers market, where they will provide turkey and all of the dressings for anyone in need or alone on Thanksgiving; everyone is welcome, however.
Market manager Jim Lafollette tells News 5 they plan to feed up to 750 people on a first-come, first-serve basis. "There are so many people this day and time that need help. Maybe a little boost around the holidays can get them started on the right path to a better holiday," said Lafollette.
The Farmers' Market is hoping to continue this tradition for years to come.
