Fallen K-9 memorial held Wednesday

A memorial service was held Wednesday for a fallen K-9 officer.
The service was held for Officer Chase at Lee High School. The dog's remains were found off of State Route 606 in Lee County on July 22nd.
Sheriff Gary Parsons says that he went missing after someone took him from the back of the deputy's cruiser.
His body was sent off to Virginia Tech for a necropsy. The results show that he died from a gunshot wound.
The reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction is $7,000.
