HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. -

A Church Hill man faces drug charges after deputies discovered four meth laps in his home.

The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department said they got a complaint on Monday about meth being made at 131 Lynch Street in Church Hill.

When they got there, Melvin Oliver Skelton, 36, denied knowing anything about the meth on his property.

During a search, deputies found four meth labs and several components used to make meth.

Sheriff Ronnie Lawson said this is the second large meth bust in a week in Hawkins County. "There is meth in every county. We just choose not to overlook it. We choose to attack it aggressively,” Lawson said.

Skelton is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s currently being held without bond in the Hawkins County Jail.
