JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -

A local dental clinic that helps low-income families got a big donation Tuesday.

The Roadrunner Market donated $15,000 to Keystone Dental Care Inc. in Johnson City.

The clinic was chosen as the charitable organization of the year for providing $800,000 worth of free dental care this year to 2,300 patients.

The clinic's Executive Director, Lisa Eggers, said they need more support from the community to meet the needs of the eight counties in the Northeast Tennessee area that they serve. "We have to have money to buy the supplies we need, but we have to have a dentist and dental assistant to provide those services," she said.

Right now, Eggers said they really need volunteer dentists and dental assistants.

The organization relies solely on grants and donations to stay open.
