KINGSPORT, Tenn. -

A lunch-hour crash on East Stone Drive sent three people to the hospital on Friday.

Kingsport Police tell News 5 a red Chevrolet was traveling in the right-hand lane on East Stone Drive towards Bristol. That's when they say it crashed into a silver Dodge crossing from New Beason Well Road onto Cleek Road.

As of right now, police are trying to figure out what caused the crash with help from red light cameras.

"We should be able to go back and determine exactly who had the green light, who had the red light. Any other type of vehicles that might be in the area at the time of the crash. If there was something that contributed to it," said Officer Dale Farmer.

News 5 learned both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but the passenger in the silver Dodge was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
