Comcast is offering a program to help low-income families in Virginia. It provides internet access.

The program launches Thursday and will provide internet service, a voucher to help buy a new computer and free training on digital literacy.

So far, Comcast has helped more than 1800 families.

Comcast is working through non-profit organizations to find families that qualify. They include Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and The Boys and Girls Club.
