Child killed in dump truck accident

The Elizabethton Police Department said a boy was hit by a dump truck Thursday.
Chief Matt Bailey said it happened Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Broad Street and Lynn Avenue.
The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is also investigating the accident.
